The goal of this project was to create a typographic focused design for an existing book.

I wanted to create a cover that would reflect the main character Elphaba, who is a witch, without using obvious imagery.

The story is both dark and satirical and I wanted my design to reflect that in a minimal way. The background is dark and moody while the serif type and illustration reminds you of the "evil" witch in a light and friendly manner.
